The police just pulled me over, he came up to my window and said, “papers?”

I said, “ Scissors, I win” and drove off.

I think he wants a re-match he’s been chasing me for 45 minutes.

  1. A long time ago when a small amount of weed was a felony pretty much everywhere twice police took pot from me. Nothing else. Searched the car, no citation, no arrest, just took the weed.

  2. **Capt. Vasili Borodin:** I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me. And I will have a pickup truck… maybe even a “recreational vehicle.” And drive from state to state. Do they let you do that?

    **Captain Ramius:** I suppose.

    **Capt. Vasili Borodin:** No papers?

**Captain Ramius:** No papers, state to state.

**Capt. Vasili Borodin:** Well then, in winter I will live in… Arizona. Actually, I think I will need two wives.

    **Captain Ramius:** Oh, at least.

In al seriousness though. Many police departments have policies against pursuing a non violent individual.

This means if a cop flips on lights and sirens, there’s a good chance they’ll just stop following you after a minute. I asked a police officer if he would continue to pursue an obvious DUI. He said that question had been brought up, and no he is instructed not to. As long as he has no reason to believe you’re in your way to commit a violent crime.

He will however report you to other jurisdictions with different policies though.
